ÉCOLE DE MUSIQUE
Raveston
MUSIC SCHOOL
Colette Deveaux in Concert
13 septembre 19h30 | September 13th 7:30pm
Colette started her musical journey early searching for her sound as many do learning songs, finding her voice and discovering her ability to craft original lyrics and put them to music. Before too long, Colette would set out to join her musical peers and dive headfirst into the local music scene, attending open mics and taking on any solo performance opportunity she could. Through this experience, she learned to collaborate, co-write, play with a band and further strengthen her solo persona. Now with the upcoming release of her first recording project, "Honey" a collection of singles, Colette is now able to share her songs to a broader audience, touching on personal experiences, social issues and more personal narratives speaking to life and love. Being inspired by memories, past experiences- good and bad, the lives of others; strangers, friends and family, Her Style has been described as playful, engaging and poignant.
Colette is a listener and an observer, remembering things about people and their stories, a connoisseur of random facts. All of which contributes to the unique musical result.

20 octobre 19h | October 20th 7pm
Ce duo fait son retour à Raveston. Ne manquez pas votre chance ; ce sont deux musiciens multi-instrumentistes qui partagent des pièces instrumentales et des chansons du style cajun avec un mix de classiques.
Nadine Landry and Stephen “Sammy” Lind play traditional fiddle music that has been passed on for hundreds of years, classics of the south west Louisiana Cajun dance halls and songs that could have filled a 50s smoky bar jukebox.
